Psoriasis on the knuckles is regarded as a typical localization of the disease. Reddish papules (nodules) with a diameter of up to 3 mm appear on the skin. They have distinct edges. The surface of the papules is covered with scales of silvery color.
The progression of the disease leads to an increase in the area of the lesion and the appearance of plaques of different sizes. Timely treatment forwards the regression of the disease and flattening of the plaques. The remission can last from several months to several years.
